The Central Library of the University was established in the year 2001. It is Situated adjacent to the administrative building inside the campus, the library has 54099 numbers of text and reference books in different subjects besides books of common interest. At present the library is subscribing for 58 journals and 17 magazines. e-resources by EBSCO and Elsevier ScienceDirect (10 Subjects) journals are accessible to the students, scholars, and faculty members of the University. The holdings of the library have been fully processed using the popular technical tools like 20th Edition DDC for classification and AACR-2 for cataloguing. OPAC through SOUL 2.0. The Library is fully automated with RFID based automation integrated with SOUL 2.0 Integrated Library Management System (ILMS).

The library caters the need of students, teachers, researchers associated with the University and intelligentsia and cultured classes of North Orissa. The library was established as a centre to advance knowledge in the fields of non-conventional subjects relevant to this part of the state such as Tribal Studies, Wild-life & conservation Biology, Remote sensing & GIS, conventional subjects such as Botany, Chemistry, Physics, Zoology and Economics and some socially relevant and economically viable courses such as Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Environmental Management & Technology, Computer Science and Management.

Human Resource Development Centre
HRDC (Human Resource Development Centre) building of MSCBU is a specialized facility in the university designed to support the training and professional development of faculty members, staff, and sometimes students. It serves as a central hub for organizing orientation programmes for teachers, refresher courses, workshops, seminars, and conferences aimed at enhancing teaching skills, research capabilities, and the use of modern technologies in education. The building typically includes well-equipped seminar halls, smart classrooms, computer laboratories, administrative office, and residential accommodation for participants. HRDC buildings play a crucial role in improving the quality of higher education by promoting continuous learning, encouraging innovation in teaching methodologies, and strengthening the overall academic environment of the institution.

The canteen of MSCB University is an essential facility within the campus that provides food and refreshments to students, faculty, and visitors. It offers a variety of items such as snacks, meals, tea, and beverages at affordable prices, making it convenient for students to access food without leaving the campus. The canteen serves as a common gathering place where students relax, interact, and spend their leisure time between classes. It provides basic seating arrangements with a capacity of 40 no.s and takeaway options, and the food is generally considered economical, with a wide range of items like rice dishes, snacks etc.

There are two separate gymnasium (Gents and Ladies) equipped with modern instruments to promote fitness opportunities to the young students as well as faculty members. Equipment in gymnasium include 3 Treadmill (Aerofit), 1 set Six Station Multi Gym (Aerofit), 1 Incline Bench Press (Aerofit), 48 Dumbbells with Rubber coated, 42 P. U. Plate (Aerofit), 2 Recumbent Bike (Aerofit), 1 Decline Bench, 1 Flat Bench (Aerofit), 2 Smith Machine (Aerofit), etc. A trainer has been hired by the University for providing assistance, guidance and proper training in the Gymnasium. An exclusive Open-Air Gymnasium facility for the boarders of Ladies Hostel is established inside the Ladies Hostel Complex with all-weather double skiing machine, Leg pressing bars, Twisters and Rowing Machines. A Yoga Centre is present in the University campus which is managed by the Dept. of Yoga and Naturopathy with regular yoga sessions for faculty members, research scholars and students of the University.

MSCBU Convention Hall is a large, well-designed space within its campus, used for hosting major events such as conferences, seminars, workshops, cultural programmes, meetings, and annual events. It is typically equipped with 1000 seated spacious seating arrangement, a stage or dais, advanced audio-visual systems, lighting facilities, and central air conditioning facility to ensure comfort for a large audience. This hall plays an important role in organizing academic events, guest lectures, convocations, and training programmes. It provides a formal and organized environment where large groups of people can gather, interact, and exchange ideas effectively and serves as a central venue for both academic and social functions, contributing to the institutional and community activities.

There is a dispensary inside the University campus, located behind the bank, with the necessary medical facilities. The dispensary was inaugurated by Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister for Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India, on 15 September 2025. The University has engaged one Medical Officer and one Dispensary Officer to provide healthcare services to students, teachers, and employees. The dispensary provides general outpatient (OPD) services. The facility includes two wards, a dressing room, a pathology room, a pharmacist’s room, an office room, and a guard room. Students and employees can consult the Medical Officer on any working day as per their healthcare needs.

The University Guest House provides comfortable and convenient accommodation for visiting academicians, researchers, invited guests, officials, and dignitaries visiting the University. Nestled within the serene campus, the Guest House offers a peaceful environment with essential amenities to ensure a pleasant stay. The facility comprises six well-furnished double-bed rooms and two single-bed rooms, catering to the accommodation needs of individual visitors as well as families and official delegations.

The Guest House has a significant place in the University’s history. It was inaugurated on 23 February 2011 by His Excellency Shri Murlidhar Chandrakant Bhandare, the then Hon’ble Governor of Odisha and Chancellor of the Universities of Odisha, in the gracious presence of Hon’ble Dr. Justice Arijit Pasayat. Since its inauguration, the Guest House has served as the University’s official hospitality centre, welcoming distinguished guests from across the country and abroad.

To ensure transparency and convenience, all Guest House reservations are processed exclusively through the University’s e-Samarth portal. Offline or manual bookings are not entertained. Guests are requested to complete the online booking process through the portal well in advance of their proposed visit, subject to room availability and the University’s accommodation policies.

Sanskrutikee- The Museum

The Cultural Museum of the University-  Sanskrutikee– established in 2022, with a motto to persuade the preservation of the heritage culture of Northern Odisha, India, houses hundreds of specimens relating to the hunting-gathering activities, fishing activities, agricultural practices, household materials, costumes, ornaments, art and crafts (terracotta, metal, bamboo, grass etc), musical instruments, paintings and the rare stone artefacts of prehistoric periods, largely used by the rural folk of Northern Odisha. Each collection in this museum has been displayed to create awareness among the museum users about the historical and cultural significance of the objects and to disseminate the local knowledge from the meaning being created by each exhibited object.

The Zoology Museum

The Zoology Museum is a repository of faunal specimens used for study and reference. The museum run by the Department of Zoology was established in 2016 and used as an aid for teaching and research. It is also an attraction for the general public disseminating knowledge about the faunal diversity of India, with special reference to Odisha. This museum also depicts the rich faunal diversity of Similipal Biosphere Reserve in the form of photographs, posters and some representative faunal specimens. The museum holds representative specimens of 10 phyla of Non-Chordata and the Phylum Chordata. Demonstrative bones of vertebrates, wild mammal pug marks, etc are also for display. The museum is helping impart knowledge to the local public and visitors and contributing to the conservation and protection of Biodiversity.

The museum has a unique way of identifying every specimen. The specimens are QR-coded and upon scanning the code a page is displayed illustrating the taxonomic position, identifying characteristics, economic importance, common names etc. of a specimen. The museum also treasures posters depicting commonly available polychaetes, spiders, fish, amphibians and snakes of Odisha and Eastern India.

The P.G Athletic Club of MSCB University was established in the year 2004-05 to look after the games and sports activities of P.G. Departments. The Chairman, P.G. Council shall be the Ex-officio President the Athletic club. The Vice–president (Teacher-in-charge of sports) and P.E.T assist the President in organizing and promoting games and sports in the University. The P.G athletic club has been participating in various events as well as organizing various inter college meets since the day of its inception. In addition, Annual athletic meet is being organized regularly since 2012-13 in which students of the University are participating in different indoor and outdoor events. Funds from UGC and other sources have been utilized regularly to strengthen the infrastructural facilities.
