The Anti-Ragging Committee of Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University has been established in accordance with the University Grants Commission (UGC) “Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009”. Its purpose is to create a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all students by preventing and addressing ragging incidents within the institution. The Committee ensures compliance with UGC’s guidelines, investigates complaints, and supervises the Anti-Ragging Squad’s efforts to prevent ragging. It is also tasked with promoting a ragging-free campus culture, developing strategies and action plans to combat ragging, and regularly organising awareness programmes.

• Protect students from physical, psychological, and emotional harm.
• Promote discipline and mutual respect among students.
• Ensure compliance with UGC regulations and state/national laws.
• Provide redressal through transparent grievance-handling mechanisms.
