The National Education Policy (NEP) Committee of MSCB University is an advisory body constituted to facilitate the effective implementation, monitoring, and review of the provisions and recommendations of the National Education Policy 2020 within the University system. The Committee acts as a central coordinating mechanism to align academic, administrative, research, examination, and governance structures with the vision, principles, and reforms envisaged under NEP 2020.
The Committee works towards promoting multidisciplinary and holistic education, academic flexibility, skill enhancement, innovation, digital learning, research orientation, inclusivity, quality assurance, and outcome-based education. It also serves as a platform for policy interpretation, institutional planning, stakeholder consultation, and continuous evaluation of NEP-related initiatives across departments, centres, and affiliated institutions of the University.

• To facilitate the implementation of the provisions and recommendations of NEP 2020 in the University.
• To promote flexibility in teaching-learning processes through multiple entry and exit systems, the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) and credit transfer mechanisms through the Controller of Examinations.
• To encourage employability-oriented education, such as vocational education, internships, student outreach, and experiential learning, as well as the integration of skill development courses with academic credits in coordination with the Director, College Development Council and the Controller of Examinations.
• To promote the integration of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), ethics, environmental awareness, digital education (Swayam MOOCs), and value-based education into the curriculum.

The NEP Committee functions as an advisory, planning, coordinating, and monitoring body under the overall supervision of the Vice-Chancellor and Academic Council of MSCB University. It coordinates with statutory bodies, departments, affiliated colleges, and regulatory agencies regarding NEP implementation and compliance. The Committee operates through periodic meetings, reviews, and policy recommendations.

The operational mechanism and workflow of the Committee include:
a) Policy Review and Interpretation
The Committee studies the provisions of NEP 2020 and related guidelines issued by regulatory bodies such as the University Grants Commission, NCTE, DEB, and other competent authorities to identify areas requiring institutional reforms.
b) Coordination and Implementation
The Committee coordinates with the Boards of Studies, Academic Council, Examination Section, IQAC, Heads of Departments, and affiliated colleges to implement approved reforms.
c) Meetings and Reporting
The Committee shall meet at the convenience of the committee members. However, in case of emergency, special meetings may be convened whenever necessary. Minutes of meetings shall be reported and communicated to the competent authorities for approval and implementation.
