PERSONAL INFORMATION
Dr. Suvendu Kumar Satapathy teaches Master of Social Work at MSCB University, Baripada, as an Assistant Professor of Social Work. Before it, he had also served as a lecturer in Social Work at Biju Pattanaik College of Hotel Management Tourism and Social Work, Bhubaneswar. He did his PG. and Ph.D. in Social Work from Utkal University; M. Phil in Social Work from Global Open University, Nagaland; PG Diploma in Rural Development from IGNOU and qualified APSET for Assistant Professor in Social Work in 2017.He is a life member of National Association of Professional Social Work in India (NAPSWI), Odisha Professional Social Work Association (OPSWA) and India Network of Professional Social Workers Association (INPSWA) as well as a member of various bodies of NGOs and Developmental Agencies. Grounded to his dedication, committed work in the field of Social Services and as a Programme Officer of the National Service Scheme, he is a member of Board of studies of Social work in Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanjadeo University, Fakir Mohan University, he has been awarded at the University level Best Programme officer in the field of Community service by the NSS Bureau, MSCB university and also received by the Government of Odisha as the best NSS Programme Officer for NSS Open Unit. Based on his extensive field work in tribal and rural areas of eastern India, he published several research articles on various aspects like displacement, rehabilitation, human rights, tribal livelihood and development and organized different National Seminars/Workshop on numerous aspects of Social Work. He is the editorial board member of the journal The Researcher. He is the observer and evaluator of IGNOU, New Delhi
