PERSONAL INFORMATION

Snehasis Mohanty is an Assistant Professor of Education at the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), MSCB University, Baripada, where he teaches the M.A. in Education, the Integrated B.Ed.–M.Ed. programme, and the Certificate Course in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE). He brings a distinctive multidisciplinary foundation to teacher education, having trained originally in the life sciences before specializing in pedagogy: he holds an M.Sc. in RS & GIS (North Orissa University), a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Geology, and subsequently an Integrated B.Ed.–M.Ed. and M.A. in Odia from MSCB University, graduating First Class in each. His research interests centre on Work-Life Balance in Teacher education, constructivist and hybrid pedagogy, teacher attitudes toward digital technology, and early childhood care and education, reflecting an effort to bridge emerging technologies with classroom practice. He has authored or co-authored Nine peer-reviewed research articles and one book chapter on Transforming Odisha Insights into Finance, Agriculture and Social Well-being, and has written Five study books used in the CDOE curriculum for the M.A. in Education programme. He has presented his work at national seminars on constructivist hybrid pedagogy, education for peace and non-violence, and early childhood care under the National Education Policy 2020. Since joining MSCB University, he has supervised Thirty-Seven postgraduate dissertations across the Integrated B.Ed.–M.Ed. and M.A. in Education programmes, covering themes such as inclusive classroom practices, activity-based learning, foundational literacy, and student attitudes toward artificial intelligence. He has also participated in numerous workshops on educational research methodology, inclusive open and distance learning, and digital and financial literacy. Fluent in Odia, Hindi, and English, combines scientific training with a developing research profile in education, positioning him as an emerging scholar at the intersection of technology, pedagogy, and teacher development.
