PERSONAL INFORMATION

Mr. Satyanarayan Mandal is an emerging academic in the field of Political Science with a strong commitment to postgraduate teaching, academic excellence, and research. He is presently serving as an Assistant Professor (Temporary) at the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo (MSCB) University, Baripada, Odisha. He has seven (7) months of teaching experience at the postgraduate level, actively contributing to classroom instruction, student mentoring, curriculum delivery, and academic activities. During his tenure, he has authored ten (10) Self-Learning Materials (SLMs) for postgraduate students of the Centre for Distance and Online Education, contributing to the development of quality learning resources for distance education. Mr. Mandal completed his Master of Arts (M.A.) in Political Science from Ravenshaw University, Cuttack. He also earned his Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from Andhra Kesari University, Andhra Pradesh strengthening his professional competence in teaching and pedagogy. He has qualified the UGC-NET examination five (5) times, reflecting his strong academic foundation and dedication to higher education. His areas of academic interest include International Relations, Indian Government and Politics, Foreign Policy, Comparative Politics, and Political Theory. He is particularly interested in promoting student-centred learning, critical thinking, and the use of contemporary national and international developments to make political concepts more meaningful and relevant. As a young faculty member, Mr. Mandal is committed to enhancing his academic profile through continuous learning, participation in faculty development programmes, academic seminars and conferences, and future research initiatives. He aspires to contribute meaningfully to the discipline of Political Science through quality teaching, academic engagement, and scholarly excellence while fostering an inclusive and intellectually stimulating learning environment for postgraduate students.
