The MSCBU Incubation Centre is envisioned as a premier catalyst for innovation and a bridge between high-level academic research and industrial application. Situated within the intellectual ecosystem of Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University, the centre serves as an anchor for fostering entrepreneurship, technological advancement, and advanced skill development in the Mayurbhanj region.

Purpose: for fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and employability

• Innovation Ecosystem: Create a robust R&D environment that facilitates the transition of academic research into market-ready prototypes.
• Entrepreneurial Development: Nurture student and local startups by providing access to infrastructure, mentorship, and legal/financial guidance.
• Skill-Based Employability: Bridge the industry-academia gap by designing curricula in collaboration with MSMEs, ensuring students acquire competencies directly relevant to current industrial requirements.
• Technology Commercialization: Promote the translation of biotech and research-based solutions into scalable commercial products.

The center will operate as a Tripartite Model to ensure long-term viability:

• Governing Council: Comprising the University leadership, industry representatives from regional MSMEs, and government nominees. They will set policy and oversee progress.
• Industry-Linkage Cell: A dedicated team to identify technical pain points within local industries and translate them into student research or incubator projects.
• Incubation Desk: Provides “Plug-and-Play” infrastructure for startups, including shared laboratory facilities, computational resources, and administrative support.
• Skill Training Division: Operates on an “Industry-on-Campus” approach where industry experts deliver training using the centre’s equipment, ensuring high placement/self-employment rates.

The workflow is designed to move from knowledge creation to product/skill delivery:

• Screening & Onboarding: An expert panel reviews student projects or startup ideas for technical feasibility and market potential.
