PERSONAL INFORMATION

I am Pratikshya Mohanty, a research scholar in English in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at C. V. Raman Global University. My research is titled “Socio-cultural, Ecological and Aesthetic Awareness in Selected Provincial Writings of Manoj Das and Ruskin Bond: A Comparative Study.” My academic interests lie in Indian English literature, ecocriticism, aesthetics, and cultural studies. I am particularly interested in exploring the relationship between literature and the environment, as well as the representation of regional and cultural identities in literary texts. My research engages with themes such as nature, folklore, rural life, and human relationships, especially in the works of Manoj Das and Ruskin Bond. Through my work, I attempt to highlight the ecological and cultural consciousness embedded in provincial writings. I have contributed to several academic journals and publications. Where I examine aesthetic sensibilities in storytelling, and the interdependence between humans and nature. I have also worked on topics such as anthropomorphism and post-humanist perspectives, reflecting my interdisciplinary approach to literary studies as well as folklore and indigenous narrative in English Writing traditions. As an emerging researcher, I aim to contribute meaningfully to contemporary literary studies by focusing on ecological awareness, cultural identity, and aesthetic interpretation.
