The Department provides Ph.D. program in field of organic synthesis, inorganic, nano-materials, polymer and computational chemistry led by well trained experienced faculty members. The research teams are dedicated to carry out cutting edge research of both basic and applied nature. With the support of DST-FIST (2009-14 and 2029-24), UGC-DRS (2019-24) and different state as well as national funding agency like ANRF, SERB, BRNS, CSIR, UGC, the Department is well equipped with scientific instruments such as Dynamic Light Scattering, Fluorescence Spectrophotometer, Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer, TG-DTA, UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, Surface Area Analyzer, Gas Chromatography, Ion Exchange chromatography, Lyophilizer, Rotary Vacuum Evaporator, High Pressure Reactor that drives the PhD program.The goal of the programme is to create trained researcher who are ready to take scientific challenges in future. To be eligible for admission into Ph.D.programme, the candidate must pass M.Sc. in Chemistry with a valid NET/GATE certificate at the time of admission. The Ph.D.programme consists of course work followed by dissertation work of experimental/computational nature.
