The goal of the course is to teach a critical and conceptual knowledge ofbiodiversity and wildlife in the context of natural landscape exploration, ecosystemdynamics, ecosystem functioning, and ecosystem service provision. The course designalso addresses the indiscriminate use of natural resources, particularly floral and faunalresources, as well as the diminishing of wild animal natural habitats. It is feasible tomanage the depletion of valuable resources at this time by increasing the knowledgebase of the students about the importance of diverse kinds of plant and animalpopulations, as well as the rules and regulations available to conserve them in theirnatural habitat. More specifically this course focuses on the fundamental principles,concepts and abilities associated with plant and animal conservation and management.Implementing habitat management strategies, identifying animal conflicts, and takingpart in personal and community leadership development activities and planning are allpart of this. Science and management views will be discussed in the context ofhistorical, current, and future initiatives aimed at preserving biological diversity. Thecourse work will also be guided by work on scientific papers and field experience.
