Teaching is my passion; Research is my date and poetry my catharsis. I am looking forward for potential collaborations in my field of interest. My work is mostly based on sacred forest ecosystems and is geographically restricted to the state of Odisha.   • UG Gold Medallist in Ravenshaw University in the stream Zoology (Honours).
  • Received the prestigious UGC Merit post graduate scholarship for 2009-2011 for being the topper in the concerned subject at the University level.
  • PG Gold Medallist in Pondicherry University in the concerned course i.e. Ecology and Environmental Sciences at the University level.
  • Received Pondicherry PG Merit Scholarship for Semester I, Semester II, and Semester III respectively for scoring the highest SGPA in all semesters during post-graduation.
  • Selected for IAS Summer Research Fellow Programme in the year 2010 and successfully completed a summer project entitled, “Density estimation of slender Loris in the forest fragments of Karnataka”, sponsored by Indian Academy of Sciences.
  • Qualified for UGC-NET LS (University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test -Lectureship) in Environmental Sciences in December 2011.
  • Received 3 certificates from Earth Matters Foundation as “Prithvi Mitr” (Friend of the Earth) for the year 2007, 2008 and 2014 for having the best suggestions in the fields of Conservation, Environment and Sustainability.
  • Recipient of prestigious DST-INSPIRE FELLOWSHIP 2012-2013 (IF-120492) sponsored by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India under the INSPIRE scheme given to university top rank holders in science to pursue Doctoral Programme in the Department of Biological Sciences at Indian Institute for Science Education and Research, Kolkata (IISER-KOLKATA).
  • Rank 1 in the Odisha State Public Service (OPSC) commission for recruitment of Assistant Professor in Wildlife and Biodiversity Conservation 2020-2021.

  • Investigating role of tribes in Biodiversity Conservation in Sacred Forests in Odisha, Eastern India. A sum of 800 US dollars was funded by International Society for Women Geographers, USA. (Status: completed).
  • ED Grant (1 lakh): Sacred Groves of Odisha: A holistic approach towards conservation. (Status: completed)
  • OURIIP seed Grant (6.92 lakhs): Prioritising Conservation of Sacred Groves in Odisha. (Status: completed).
  • IKS Internship Program 25-26 (1.8 lakhs): “Guardians of the Green: Sacred Groves and associated Rituals of Odisha in the Light of IKS and SDGs for Biodiversity Conservation and Environmental Protection” by Indian Knowledge System, Ministry of Education, Government of India. (Status: completed).
